The Kyklopes Tower

This piece is one of those pieces that has given me fits for years -and by years I mean I started this piece back in 1999 (that's not a typo) and still haven't brought it to a satisfactory resolution.

As I sit in my studio and contemplate this piece, I'm starting to wonder if it needs some company.

But before I go trying to pair this tower with some other piece, I need to do a little bit of work to gussy it up a bit...

I start by adding a gear/crenelated tower motif to the top, prime it with several coats of paint, and the hit it with oil paint.

It looks something like this.
