Ship of Fools. Part 1.

I am really starting to question if I can make a piece in one straight line journey.

Man o man do the very beginnings of this piece go way back.  I think I've been kicking that center canvas around in different configurations since something like 2001/2002.  It just slowly keeps evolving.  It's now found its way front and center as the main mast of Ship of Fools.

The central canvas already had a mast and an observation platform, so imagining it being part of a larger ship/structure was pretty straightforward.  What I needed was something that could pass as both a ship and structure/building/fortress.  Those elements actually took several weeks to construct.

Another challenge, in addition to physically fabricating 'the ship' is getting the different panels to look like they relate/were made around the same time - instead of being fabricated 19 years apart...

At the very least, it was going to take several washes of color.

Gonna need some clouds in the near future, but for now, this is all yer gonna get to see.
